“Swing high and sing loud, let the joy of Teej fill your heart.” Keeping the theme of merriment and festivity, The students of International Public Sr.Sec.School, Ludhiana, joyfully celebrated Teej, the Monsoon festival, with unquenchable passion. The school premises was transformed into a phantasmagoria of colors, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Punjab.The students of Classes VI to IX spellbound the audience with their enthralling performances of traditional folk songs, Bhangra, giddha, Tappe, and Boliyan. Their flamboyant attire, adorned with ornate designs and hues, added to the festive atmosphere. To make the celebration even more special, the students relished traditional Teej delicacies like ‘Kheer’ and ‘Malpuas’. A mehandi-applying and pranda-tying activity was also organized for the girls, which was thoroughly luxuriated by all participants. Academic Director Mr Harman Sandhu applauded the students for their ardour and assiduity for perpetuating cultural traditions. Principal Mrs Sheetal Nathaniel accentuated the significance of ‘Teej’ in Punjabi culture and invigorated students to take pride in their rich heritage. She further added “We are proud to celebrate our cultural heritage and pass it on to our future generations. Teej is a celebration of love, devotion, and togetherness and we are happy to be a part of it.”The celebration was a resonating opulence, and the students were left with persistent evocation of their coruscating Teej celebration..
