An Educational trip to GADVASU (Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University)-2024

“Life is an adventure, and the best adventures are the ones we share together” An Educational trip to GADVASU (Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University) was organized for the students of Class XI and XII Science of International Public Sr.Sec.School with an objective to help them explore what lies beyond their school years, to understand different fields of veterinary as veterinary sciences, animal Biotechnology, Fisheries and Dairy technology and to appreciate Veterinary science and its allied Fields as a profession. They were shown around the wards where the small animals were being treated as well the Critical care unit. They saw how the animals are prepared before the operation. At the college of Fisheries, the students were briefed on the farming of fishes and different types of practices for the same. At the school of Animal biotechnology they were shown around different labs where research on vaccines, DNA amplification. At the college of dairy technology, the students were briefed on milk production and Distribution and the technology behind the optimization of the same. The students were overwhelmed by the facilities available at the veterinary university, they learnt and appreciated the scope of veterinary sciences and its allied fields. Academic Director Mr Harman Sandhu and Principal Mrs Sheetal Nathaniel extended their heartfelt thanks to the GADVASU., Ludhiana for this sort of experiential learning of their Medical students.
